BUYOUT & LATE STAGE GROWTH
HiPAD
Strategy Overview
OUR STRATEGY
We acquire, scale and professionalize lower middle market mission-critical businesses across aerospace, defense and cybersecurity, including companies serving national security missions in commercial and government services markets.
We believe the investment opportunities in this space are attractive for three principal reasons:
A PROTECTED MARKET
Companies performing classified and sensitive work sit behind facility clearances, cleared personnel and federal security review. Most institutional capital cannot diligence, transact or hold these businesses, which leaves a small buyer pool and attractive entry points.
SUSTAINED DEMAND
A multi-administration, bipartisan commitment to rebuilding the defense industrial base, together with defense funding above $1 trillion and allied commitments to higher spending, supports long-term growth across our sectors.
FOUNDER TRANSITIONS
Founders who built their businesses through lean budget years are reaching retirement during a period of peak demand. That creates proprietary deal flow for buyers with the relationships, clearances and credibility to execute these transitions.
OUR DIFFERENTIATORS
Value creation is operational, not financial engineering.

We pursue a buy-and-build strategy: platform acquisitions in high-priority capability areas, followed by targeted add-ons. Our operating model preserves management autonomy while integrating shared services, protecting the cleared workforce and compounding through disciplined integration.

Our team of former military, intelligence and government services operators brings relationships across the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and the industrial base. We favor dual-landscape businesses that carry cleared capability into commercial demand and commercial efficiency into federal missions.
